admissions Process

1. Schedule a parent/caregiver conference with an administrator; 
2. Arrange a time for your child to visit the school (If older than 12 mos)
3. Metta will notify you of the admission decision. 

If your child is offered a place at Metta, we kindly ask that you inform us of your decision to enroll or not within five days, and return the enrollment form with fees.

Children’s Records: According to the Virginia Department of Social Services and Metta requirements, the following documents must be on file in our office before your child enters the school. 

Required Prior to Start -Your child may not start school without the following:

1. Application 
2. Enrollment Agreement Form 
3. Health Information Form 
4. Physical and Immunization Form  
5. Verification of Identity
6. Emergency Medical Consent 
7. Emergency Contact Form
8. Blanket Field Trip Permission Slip
9. Medical/Health Agreement

You may consider updating your health forms yearly on your child’s birthday visit to the doctor. Please ensure you keep track of medication forms and when they expire and when medication expires. 

Required Yearly - No matter when your child enrolls, some forms are renewed every February so as to get everyone on the same schedule. All forms are due back within two weeks of receipt. There is a $75 dollar fee for forms not received by due date, and your child will not be guaranteed a spot for the following year.
